This week at Secta, AMV BBDO didn’t fancy the McCann London smoke, Anomaly slip up in their title pursuit and the adam&eveDDB ringers outperform VCCPs 😬

Let’s start with the title race 🏆

AMV BBDO couldn’t field a team against McCann London giving the leaders an easy 3 points. That certainly won’t be the case next week when they’re up against Ogilvy UK. Massive game in the title race.

Onto the chasing pack 🐺

We thought we’d go and see what this Wieden + Kennedy’s resurgence is all about.

Upon arrival, we could only notice the fresh AKQA squad in their sexy new kit. We think it looks nice, despite what everyone is saying about the size of the logo 👀

At least everyone will know who they're playing.

Wieden’s dominated the first half and took a 4-0 lead into the break. AKQA had chances but made a few costly mistakes. In the second half, they gave it their all and battled well but the class of Wieden’s proved too strong.

You never know what Saatchi & Saatchi side you’re gonna get and to the despair of Anomaly, it was a pretty decent one this week 😩

It was a close game but sadly you don’t get any prizes for close. It was a must-win game for Anomaly but Saatchi only went and ruined it for them 🫠

Ogilvy UK arrived in high spirits following their quarter-final win and the party bus continues after they dominated a lacklustre We Are Social side, moving into the champions league places.

The battle for the wooden spoon 📈

Cumming's arrived in town after a 5-month hiatus trying to save BBH London's season.

No such luck.

According to Cumming's, it was a rusty performance in which his side conceded soft goals. The Mill deserves a fair bit of credit for this after a strong high press game forced BBH into mistakes 🏃🏻‍♀️

Last up, we had the battle of the ringers in VCCP against adam&eveDDB. In all honesty, it was a disjointed fixture with players arriving throughout the tie.

On the night, the high-end adam&eveDDB ringers straight from McCann trumped VCCPs 🎺
