Another night of beautiful sunshine and at times, slightly above-average football at Secta this week.

The highlights 📸
“Definitely to win a match, that would be great as we haven’t done that yet”. These were the words of The Mill Co-Captain, Daisy, at the start of the season. Now bloody look at them, 2 on the bounce 📈
One man that is more than doing his part is keeper David, with a heroic performance against AKQA this week. Players from both sides, the ref and even Dorris from the flats above were applauding this performance. Who's Dorris you ask Dorris? She’s the one who complains the whistles are too loud. So yeah, it must have really been something 👏
This week marked a return for We Are Social captain, Ardel, but sadly his magic left was to no avail as McCann London served up a proper hiding in their first game of the season. After “being taught a lesson from their Daddies over at Wieden + Kennedy” in the cup final, McCann’s humbled approach to play produced their best yet 👋

Kieran Sadler certainly didn’t want Daddies smoke with a ‘flakey’ last-minute drop-out. A move AMV BBDO striker, Jamie, was most unhappy with. So unhappy he even took a trial at Droga5 in net. Although the scoreline suggests he was pretty pony, let it be known for all to see, he can score goals and save them too 🐴
Frustratingly Anomaly were made to wait for the arrival of VMLY&R as they struggled to find pitch 12 (we’ve all been there). When they eventually arrived there was no love lost, as they caught Anomaly
snoozing with an early flurry of goals which effectively decided the tie.
