We kicked off the Advertising Summer League this week, returning to our old stomping ground in Shoreditch. Yeah, that's right, the same one as last week 💃

We couldn't have wished for a better evening. Beautiful sunshine, sexy goals, big saves and most importantly, some SHOCK results ⚡️

The highlights 📸

There’s only one place to start.
Can we get a ‘hell yeah’ for The Mill. After going without a single win last season, they only went and whooped Ogilvy UK on the opening night. Big up to the co-captains Libby & Daisy for their blood, sweat and tears along the way 👊🏻

Holy smokes.

In a complete switch for the masses, VCCP ‘the invincibles’ having won it unbeaten last year have only gone and lost their first game. Albeit by sadly being forced to forfeit due to their inability to get a team together. Mallins' puts it down to poor communication but it's a result that will fill the other teams with confidence for the season ahead 😬

AKQA came from behind to grab the win in their debut season at Secta. Impact substitute, Babalola, aka ‘twinkle toes’ was keen to praise interim captain, Anthony Elliott, for his management on the night. Not without making his desires to start the next game clear. Competition is clearly rife at AKQA, Wylie & Elliot will have a job keeping this squad happy 🙃

"What’s the point in coming on a Monday if you’re not here to win it all. Guts, glory, through the rain, through the sun, win it all." Strong words from Adjei as he makes BBH London's intentions clear for the season ahead as they came out victorious in a tight clash with Saatchi & Saatchi. 

Finally, VMLY&R, were down for a friendly with captain Matt Jones between the sticks. He'll be keen to throw his name in the mixer for the golden glove, not without tough competition from Kennedy and Anderson mind you 🧤
