MW6 - WL - FOOTBALL
This week at Secta Droga5 bounce back from shock result, a robana costs one side the Wynn and Ogilvy UK forget to turn up for their official fixture.
We were supposed to start the night with a mid-table clash between Ogilvy UK and Anomaly. But when Ogilvy UK were meant to be playing they were still squirrelling away at their desks. We’ll put this down to their commitment to clients and not the relaying of wrong information from captain Stride. Miraculously, they managed to be on time for a last-minute friendly with Wunderman Thompson 40 minutes later... 🐿
Reports filtered through late last night that Anomaly played a friendly game amongst themselves with on watching ringers. One player noted captain McCormick was “run ragged” and “nutmegged on at least 5 occasions” 😬
Droga5 15 - 2 The Mill
Droga came into the tie following a shock defeat to We Are Social last week. It was clear captain Anderson had a few choice words in this week’s training sessions as a completely different Droga outfit arrived on Monday. Unluckily for The Mill, it wasn’t the best time to face this Droga5 side as they looked to rewrite the wrongs of last week 👕
Saatchi & Saatchi 11-10 McCann London
Both sides were looking to avenge last week's narrow defeats and came into the tie with fire in the belly. It was a tightly contested tie with both sides fighting for everything. Saatchi called upon one bystander, who despite reading a paper on the sidelines was ready to kick ball when called upon. That was far less than could be said for Wynn, as McCann's star man Theo beat a player and played an exquisite nutmeg through to Wynn, who just had the keeper beat. In an attempt to reach Instagram fame (later confirmed) he tried to robona the ball into the back of the net. Which to be fair to him, was well saved by the keeper. I think you’ve been spending too much time with Roberto Carlos 🙈
VCCP 11-5 BBH London
VCCP continue their rich vein of unbeaten form as they put another 3 points on the board. They are proving too strong for all sides this year as they’ve yet to be beaten in the cup or league since joining Secta. And boy, this week they were playing football to match the stats. Wynn was playing like he met Roberto Carlos, whilst VCCP's O’Neill was running round like he was Roberto Carlos, with stepovers, nutmegs and even a left peg to match 🔥
adam&eveDDB 13 - 11 We Are Social
The final game of the evening was a tight affair with both sides giving their all but adam&eveDDB Eve continue to bounce back from that Ogilvy result. This win moves them into 3rd place and joint on points with Droga5 📈
Until next week,
Secta.
