As the players swap shorts for tracksuits, we enter the 5 remaining games with everything to play for 💪

We start the evening with a ‘friendly’ between adam&eveDDB and AMV BBDO, yet rather the antithesis of that. There was nothing friendly with the way Adam & Eve started this one.

With AMV BBDO's last performance likened to a game of whac-a-mole, we were praying for a better turnout but quite frankly, we'd seen enough after 15 minutes with the score at 5-1 🙏

Off we went to view another game being played, passing AMV keeper, Matt, on the way. We informed him that his arrival was too late to save the disaster happening on pitch 5 🙈

We later returned to the game expecting a cricket score and to our surprise, joined the game 9-8. This was much to the annoyance of AMV captain, Sadler, who insisted we were bad luck. It will come as no surprise to hear that upon our return, AMV failed to score another goal. But a thriller (apparently) nonetheless 👀

The only official fixture of the evening saw in-form Wieden + Kennedy, take on a desolate Saatchi & Saatchi’s. On paper, this doesn’t make for good viewing. It’s been a tough few week’s for new Saatchi captain Hernan, after his predecessor Boden, secured a transfer to BBH London.

Wieden + Kennedy showcased last week if you haven’t got your sh*t together, you could be in a for a rollicking. To be fair to a disjointed Saatchi side they held their own and battled well. Until W+K pulled away in the final 5 minutes of the 1st half.

Wieden + Kennedy showed their class, holding off Saatchi and securing a 10-6 victory with a couple of cracking goals. One-shot, hit so hard, it broke through the top netting onto the railway line behind.

Next week, it’s cup week. Book your seats because it’s quarter-final night and anything could happen.
