After a wet and windy Monday night, we bring you the match report after the 4th fixtures in the London Advertising 5-a-side league 🌧

Division 1
Looking at the fixture list, there's only one place to start.
Wieden + Kennedy vs adam&eveDDB.

Adam & Eve stormed to a 6-0 lead, leaving Wieden's shellshocked. Although hitting the post countless times, they couldn't find an answer. Yes, you heard it right. Half-time, 6-0 to adam&eveDDB 🤯

The goal continued to escape Wieden's in the second half, with post, player and poor shooting restraining them for what felt an eternity. Eventually, Wieden's manage to grab one. 2 more quickly followed and adam&eveDDB started to look tired, with no subs to call upon. Another one slotted away for Widens and for a second week in a row, it was squeaky bum on pitch 12 💩

As Wieden's pushed on they left themselves open at the back and a delightful through-ball sliced them in half. The ball fell to captain, Wilkie, receiving on the turn and slotting into the corner. Putting an end to the wave and any hopes of a comeback, forgotten. The Portuguese training camp has been recommended by Wilkie and has asked readers to contact him directly for a discount code 🤑

AMV continued their rocky start to the season and were unable to field a team after captain, Sadler, reportedly injured himself walking into his bed. That stubbed toe might be a little sorer with the news this defeat puts them bottom of the league 🤕

The final game saw Saatchi & Saatchi’s take on BBH London. With news just in that Saatchi captain, Boden, recently signed for the opposing club. Although, he was on best behaviour throughout the 40 minutes that proceeded; missing sitters, misplacing passes and being an all-around asset to his new club 👀

It was a close game and credit to Saatchi for battling well after pulling together a team at the last minute. They were beaten by a better side, with standout player Adjei dominating the game for BBH London, securing the 14-8 win.

Division 2
Starting with division leaders Havas London, taking on bottom of the pile, We Are Social. It was a close game and despite their difference in league position, there was little to separate the teams. That is of course, apart from the exceptional Sam, scoring at least 5 goals for Havas with exquisite finishing from all over the park. Although another defeat, Mackay’s side can take positives from the performance, giving Havas a tough game as they continue to improve 💪

Next up we had Ogilvy UK taking on McCann London. A pivotal game in the fight for promotion in which Ogilvy started well, taking control of the game with early goals. They managed to establish a decent lead and although McCann lifted the energy it was too little, too late. Ogilvy 14 v McCann 6.

Unfortunately, Anomaly were unable to field a side however, Droga5 used the opportunity to complete a tactical training session, working on set pieces and tactics for the remainder of the season.

Until next week.
Secta.
